About the tool

Developed in partnership with PolicyMap, the Housing Needs Assessment tool provides detailed reports for every city, county, and metropolitan area in the country. Each report presents data, maps, and visualizations describing local demographics and measures of housing affordability, housing stock characteristics, and variations in key housing indicators by race, ethnicity, age, and income.
