Data Talks: Equitable storytelling with data

Watch the Housing Solutions Lab’s free, 45-minute webinar, the seventh of our Data Talks series. This episode focuses on presenting local data to the public in accessible and engaging ways, especially to community members who might not typically participate in housing policy and development decision-making.

Patrick Spauster, Data Fellow at the NYU Furman Center, presents about storytelling with data in this recording. A fireside chat follows with Allison De Marco, Advanced Research Scientist at the Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute and a faculty member at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s School of Social Work; and Donna Carrington, Executive Director of the Community Empowerment Fund. They discuss their experience leading Data Walks in Chapel Hill and Durham and share findings from their study on housing and homelessness.
